Pawn moves

The pawn moves one space forward, but can move 2 squares forward on it's first move. It captures diagonally one square to the right or left. Pawns cannot move backwards, only forward. When it reaches the end of the board, it can turn into any piece except a King. A special way a pawn can capture is "en passant". En passant will be discussed in the beginners tactics section. The path of the pawns can be followed by pressing the appropriate arrows. The kings on a8 and h1 are just there to make the position legal.
